Preschool teachers work at preschools, daycares, and other centers for child care. They basically introduce children to various concepts such as vocabulary, letters, numbers, shapes, colors, and different game play. They often are very active with the children during game play. Preschool teachers are responsible for a small to large groups of children in a classroom setting. They may also be responsible for feeding the children lunch or snacks depending on the type of preschool the teacher works at. Elementary School and Grade School Teachers
Usually, elementary school teachers have a designated classroom in a certain grade to teach. The elementary school teacher teaches that class a variety of subjects. These subjects range from math to reading to science. Other specialty teachers such as gym teachers or art teachers may teach to everyone in the elementary school. Of course, elementary school teachers can have variations on this classic set up. They receive a teaching degree from a four year program. The future elementary school teacher's college classes will be designed to prepare them to deal with children in the elementary school age range. They will also be taught more in-depth about certain subjects and teaching strategies, for example. They are employed at public and private schools all over the world.
